page 2: you pick one off the shelf. fascinating, but scary, you think. the book is glowing. now, you have to decide. do you… a: open the book. (go to page 3), or b: put the book back (continue reading). continue reading: you get scared. you aren't supposed to do this. you put the book back again. you leave. back at the hideout, your friends ask where you went. nowhere special, you say. and then, life (or an approximation) goes on. you forget. the end. page 3: curiosity takes over. you open the book. what an unusual artefact! you get lost in the beautiful small characters. you wish you understood what they mean. suddenly, CREAK! you look up, startled. someone—or something—else is here! do you a: go towards the noise (turn to page 8) or b: run away (keep reading).

choose-your-own-adventure comic, 2026

in fall of 2025, i was approached by INDEX teen advisory board to illustrate a choose-your-own-adventure comic, based on a script written by board members kiara eifert and elin karlsson. it was published in the book "Reaching out: a book about agency, care, identity and..." (Rooftop Press, ISBN: 978-952-7258-33-0). the graphic design of the book is by >Tuukka Kaila< and uses my fonts >A MONO< (for page numbers and other elements) and >madleen text<.
