page 8: go towards the noise. i have been waiting for you. who… what are you?! i am the oracle. what do you want from me? for centuries, i have been here, watching over this space. i am the soul of the books in these shelves. but i have been abandoned and forgotten. i have waited for someone to return, to pass on my gift. i have been waiting for you. pass on what gift? the ability to read. you feel something change. it is amazing! you need to share this with everybody! join me and teach my friends! i am afraid my work here is done. return to this library when you have spread your knowledge. library? with that, the oracle dissappears, leaving behind one last gift: a pen.
page 9: on your way home, you can't wait to try out all your newfound knowledge. as soon as you have time for yourself, you immerse yourself in the book. you don't even notice your best friend coming in. woah, what is that?! hm? yeah. it's a book. a book?! mhm… oh, sorry! yes, a book! i found it on my mission today, and i learned how to read it too!! that's amazing! tell me everything! you tell them everything. you decide to start a secret reading group and invite a few other friends. you sneak out every night, pass on your knowledge, and try to make sense of the pen the oracle left. your friends want to see the library for themselves. when you arrive, the oracle is still gone, but... we see a glowing printer and other bookmaking equipment. i think the oracle wants us to make more books.

choose-your-own-adventure comic, 2026

in fall of 2025, i was approached by INDEX teen advisory board to illustrate a choose-your-own-adventure comic, based on a script written by board members kiara eifert and elin karlsson. it was published in the book "Reaching out: a book about agency, care, identity and..." (Rooftop Press, ISBN: 978-952-7258-33-0). the graphic design of the book is by >Tuukka Kaila< and uses my fonts >A MONO< (for page numbers and other elements) and >madleen text<.
